The purpose of this HSE National Clinical Guideline for the diagnosis, staging and treatment of patients with Gestational Trophoblastic Disease.

This HSE National Clinical Guideline applies to all teenagers and adults that have a suspected diagnosis of Gestational Trophoblastic Disease (GTD). This guideline is intended for all health professionals involved in the diagnosis, staging and treatment of patients with GTD. Gestational trophoblastic disease (GTD) is a spectrum of diseases that can occur during or after pregnancy, each having a varying propensity for local invasion and metastasis.
