Spark Updates: August 2019
The Spark team would like to thank the outgoing Innovation Fellow Dr Christine Kiernan for her outstanding work over the last year. The Spark Innovation Programme has gone from strength to strength under her leadership and her vision for the programme inspires us all! We would also like to welcome the new National Fellow for Innovation and Change, Dr Ciara Carroll. Ciara looks forward to supporting innovation and change across the HSE over the next year. The Spark Consultant Innovation Fund is a new funding opportunity for hospital consultants who wish to implement novel projects. The fund is open to all consultants working in public hospitals. Please see the applicant guide for further details. Submissions must be made using the application form by 5pm on September 16th.
We are delighted to announce that the Spark Summit will be back in 2020. We are scaling up last year's fantastic event to a two day summit which will be held in the Convention Centre Dublin on February 13th and 14th.
Spark Ignite will be expanding to a national event this year! We are thrilled to announce that this year we will be opening the call for submissions to all HSE staff around the country. Mentorship and support will be offered by our fantastic colleagues in Health Innovation Hub Ireland in their centres in Cork, Dublin and Galway. Pitch events will be held in these three hubs with the national final taking place next February.
