Following the 2018 referendum and subsequent legislative changes, the Health (Regulation of Termination of Pregnancy) Act 2018 came into effect on January 1st 2019.
People can now access Termination of Pregnancy Services in Ireland under specific circumstances.
Termination of Pregnancy services are provided by the HSE, through GPs or family planning services and in maternity units and hospitals across the country. Termination of Pregnancy Care will be free of charge to people who need it.
GPs, who have an interest in providing this service, can sign and return the ‘Contractor Details and Acceptance’ form.
All signed Contractor Details and Acceptance forms should be returned:
- by email to Contract.National@hse.ie or
- by post to the HSE’s National Contracts Office, Primary Care Unit, St Loman’s Hospital Campus, Delvin Road, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath; or
- by fax to 044 9397445
