Happy Talk Crèche Programme is delivered across Cork City and seeks to support staff capacity in relation to language development, adult child interactions, play and activities to support language development.
The Happy Talk Crèche Programme is aimed at coaching staff in integrating language development strategies in their interactions with the children. Each session includes a focus on listening, skill development and action rhymes.
Happy Talk also supports early years’ educators by inviting them to take part in training and continued professional development.All crèches, preschools and schools take part in the Happy Talk Communication Champions, which includes one workshop each term. Crèche, preschool and school staff are also invited to take part in training and workshops.
Happy Talk also supports parents to support their child’s language development through play and activities at crèche level.
