2025 HSE SPONSORSHIP STUDENT MENTAL HEALTH RECRUITMENT SCHEME (Post Graduate) Higher Diploma in Mental Health Nursing

The application window for the 2024 HSE Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing Recruitment Scheme has now closed. 

It is envisaged that the application process for the 2025 programme will open October/November .  The National Recruitment Service recommend that you visit this page on a regular basis for further updates.

Please see below the current Eligibility Criteria for this campaign:

Candidates must at the latest date of application:

  1. Be registered on the Register of Nurses maintained by Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or entitled to be so registered

And

  1. Have a minimum of 6 months post registration clinical nursing experience within the past 3 years, or it’s equivalent within the past 3 years if working less hours

 

 If Applicable, meet the entry requirements set by UCD:

OR

  • Provide evidence of having obtained an academic qualification, such as a diploma, degree or MSc, from an Irish university or wholly through the English language from a majority-English speaking country

OR

  • Occupational English Test (OET) results are also accepted. These should be a minimum score of 350 on the OET.
