A phone call at the right time

Denise was under pressure with a deadline and couldn't get the people she needed on the phone.. As time got tighter her tone got shorter and in the end she found herself being rude to her colleague Joyce.  She had the poster of the 9 behaviours on the wall by her desk and her heart sank as she realised how much she had verbally lashed out.  She knew this was unfair and putting herself in Joyce's shoes she realised that Joyce just bore the brunt of her stress.  So she gathered herself and called Joyce back and apologised.   Joyce appreciated the call and was glad to learn it was nothing more serious.

Am I aware of my stress and how I deal with it
