Mercy Urgent Care Centre
If you have a cut, sprain, minor burn or fracture, the new Mercy Urgent Care Centre is now open, and treating adults and children (aged over 10) in Cork City and surrounding areas, 7 days a week.

8am to 6pm, 7 days a week
(After 6pm please go to the Emergency Department at Mercy University Hospital or Cork University Hospital)
What the Urgent Care Centre does treat:
- Suspected broken bones in legs (from knees to toes)
- Suspected broken bones in arms (from collar bone to finger tips)
- All sprains and strains
- Facial injuries
- Minor scalds and burns
- Wounds, bites, cuts, grazes and scalp lacerations
- Splinters and fish hooks
- Foreign bodies in the eyes, ears or nose
- Minor chest injuries
What the Urgent Care Centre does not treat:
- Children under 10 years old
- Injuries following a fall from a height or a serious road traffic accident
- Serious head injuries
- Chest pain
- Abdominal pain
- Gynaecological problems
- Serious neck/back pain
- Pregnancy related conditions
- Pelvis or hip fractures
In an emergency
Go to the Emergency Department at Mercy University Hospital or Cork University Hospital or call an ambulance on 999 or 112.
The same fee as for the Emergency Department applies.
