How do I know if I am eligible for the service?

  • There is no upper or lower age limit for eligibility to receive primary care SLT services.
  • You do not need to have a medical card, GP visit card or Long Term illness card to access the service.
  • It is a free service provided by the HSE.
  • Clients who are under the care of a specialist service are not eligible to access primary care SLT services i.e. Early InterventionTeam/Network Disability Team, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) or acute hospital services.
