HSE reiterate advice on use of antigen testing for asymptomatic close contacts

The HSE is advising people who have been identified as asymptomatic (no symptoms) close contacts to avail of antigen testing and to restrict their movements.

Organ Donation End of Year Statement

While 2021 has been a challenging year for organ donation and transplant services, the HSE’s Organ Donation Transplant Ireland Office is pleased to report today (Thursday, 29th December 2021) that 203 organ transplants have taken place this year thanks to the generosity and kindness of 99 organ donors and their families.

Testing centres across CHO 1 have seen a sustained extremely high demand for COVID 19 testing at our Community testing centres in Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Monaghan and Sligo. This reflects the high prevalence of the disease and other illnesses at this time.
