HSE ‘Eclectic Collective Collection’ exhibition to be held at ATU Sligo

An exhibition to showcase the artistic works created by service users attending the HSE’s Ballytivnan Training Centre and Community Inclusion Connect Hub will take place in the new Yeats Academy of Art, Design and Architecture building at ATU Sligo on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd April, 2024.

The exhibition will run from 12pm to 4.30pm on Monday April 22nd and from 11am to 4pm on Tuesday April 23rd.

The exhibition, which is a collaboration between the HSE and ATU, titled “Eclectic Collective Collection” will include paintings, drawings, ceramics and some digital art.

Patricia Freeman who will have some of her pottery work on display said “I and the other service users who are involved in the exhibition are thrilled to have this opportunity, we are very busy preparing for the exhibition and there is a great buzz of excitement in the lead up to the event.  We will be working with students and staff from the ATU who will assist us with setting up our displays”.

Chris Heffron, HSE Community Access Facilitator said “This is a unique opportunity for our service users to exhibit their work at a public exhibition and to showcase some of their talents.  If you are in the vicinity please take a few minutes to visit the Academy and view the works on display. 

Programme Coordinator Lizzie Kinsella, and her students at ATU Sligo gave the group the opportunity to exhibit their work in the new Academy.  Meanwhile Jenny Cooper, Art Tutor in Ballytivnan Training Centre gave service users her creative guidance in preparing for the exhibition.
