HSE urge eligible people to get the vaccine
The HSE is advising that the COVID-19 Autumn Winter Booster Programme is wrapping up this week and urges every eligible person to get vaccinated before the programme draws to a close.
Those eligible are asked to book an appointment with their GP or pharmacy or to contact @HSElive for advice or assistance before 18th February when this booster programme will come to a close.
COVID 19 vaccines will continue to be available for those needing a primary dose and for pregnant women, through a GP or Pharmacist.
The Children’s Vaccine Programme will also continue for those eligible for vaccines with walk-in clinic details available on hse.ie.
People are also being advised that the flu vaccine programme continues for another number of weeks for eligible groups
Dr Colm Henry, Chief Clinical Officer, HSE said: “Vaccination remains the best way to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 and flu. We are continuing to urge eligible people to get vaccinated as soon as possible. To check which vaccines are recommended for you, visit hse.ie or talk to a participating GP or Pharmacist today.”
