Moville Residential Group Home Overall Winners in the Moville Tidy Towns Gardening Competition for second year running

Community Healthcare Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Monaghan, Sligo

Moville Residential Group Home is thrilled to announce that its dedicated residents have been recognised for their exceptional efforts in horticulture, as Overall Winners at the Moville Tidy Town Awards for the second year running.

Residents secured no less than three awards for "Best Pollinator Patch",  "Best Vegetable Allotment" as well as receiving the Overall Award.

The residents secured an award for "Best Pollinator Patch" which acknowledges the combined efforts of the residents, who diligently cultivated a vibrant and diverse garden specifically designed to attract and support various pollinating insects and birds. Showcasing an assortment of colorful flowers, native plants, and strategically placed water features, their pollinator patch provides an essential habitat for these valuable creatures, helping to sustain local ecosystems.

Moville Residential Home's success didn't stop there. Their passionate green thumbs also saw success in the "Best Vegetable Allotment" category. Residents have devoted many hours tending to their vegetable patch, nurturing a wide variety of crops that have flourished under their attentive care. This recognition validates the hard work, dedication, and love that the residents have poured into their horticultural endeavors.

Manager of the HSE Disability Services Residential Group Home in Moville, Martin McNamee said “ I am delighted for the residents to have maintained their presence within their local community and would like to take this opportunity to wish them every continued success in the future.  We would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the Moville Tidy Town committee for recognising the remarkable achievements of our residents in these categories. We also express our sincere appreciation to our staff members, who support our residents in their gardening endeavors, and all community members who have offered their unwavering encouragement and support.
