Pop up COVID-19 clinics being held in Cavan Monaghan
A number of pop-up COVID-19 clinics are being held across Cavan and Monaghan over the next month for eligible cohorts.
Those eligible will be able to avail of their booster vaccinations at a number of locations across the counties.
The protection from previous doses or a COVID-19 infection may weaken over time. Booster doses help boost your antibodies and give you good protection from becoming seriously ill or needing to go to hospital if you get COVID-19.
A first booster is recommended for all adults age 18 years and older. After this, seasonal boosters are recommended for some people at higher risk of COVID-19 illness.
Autumn - winter booster doses are available now. You are eligible to receive an Autumn booster dose if you are:
· age 50 or older
· age 5 or older with a weak immune system
· age 5 to 49 with a condition that puts you at high risk of serious illness from COVID-19
· a healthcare worker
Shona Gallagher, Operational Manager Sligo and Leitrim Community Vaccination Service said “ The HSE advises that getting a COVID-19 vaccination gives you the best protection against serious COVID-19 illness. We are running pop-up clinics over the next few weeks in many locations across Cavan and Monaghan and invite those eligible adults to avail of the opportunity to get their vaccinations in a location convenient to them.”
COVID-19 vaccination clinics are available to those aged 18 and over at the following times and dates:
