Meanwhile the Clones Primary Care Centre will open to the public on Jubilee Road in Clones Town from 30th August 2023.

HSE services that will be provided from this Primary Care Centre include:

Public Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, with the further inclusion of Podiatry, Psychology and Dietetics in the future.

There will also be GP services located within the Centre with the Clones Surgery, Dr Clarke, relocating to the new centre.

The centres are part of the HSE’s Enhanced Community Care (ECC) programme.

The programme aims to enhance and increase community health services and reduce pressure on hospital services. This means more services closer to where people live, especially for older people and people with chronic disease.

Mandy Doyle, Head of Service Primary Care, HSE CH CDLMS said “We are delighted that two new Primary Care Centres will be operational by the end of the month. Both centres offer a variety of services locally in one place and are an excellent example of the Enhanced Community Care programme in action. People can access the services they need while staying out of the acute hospital.”
