Community services CPE toolkit
This Community Services CPE toolkit contains a number of documents including guidelines for long-term care facilities, guidance for healthcare staff visiting patients at home, a set of facts sheets on CPE and patient information.
In June 2017, the HSE National HCAI/AMR lead wrote to the Chief Officers of the community healthcare organisations (CHO) to highlight the risk of CPE and to request the establishment of a Chief Officer led infection prevention committee in each CHO.
In October 2017, the Minister for Health declared a public health emergency in relation to CPE and established the national public health emergency team NPHET to oversee the management of the issue. Read the minutes, press releases and reports.
