Physiotherapy Therapy Services - LHO - North Dublin

Community Physiotherapy services are provided from the local Health Office, helping people who have suffered an injury or illness to regain their health or mobility through exercise and movement

Referral is through Hospitals, GPs Public Health Nurses, and Occupational Therapists. HSE Community Physiotherapy Services deal with the physiotherapeutic needs of an extensive range of diagnostic categories under the heading of physical and sensory disability.

Currently the main focus of the service is on the delivery of a domiciliary service for clients living in the catchment areas of the 16 health centres in Dublin North.  Physiotherapy interventions are relevant to the needs of the client, and are based on specialized assessment, appropriate treatment and ongoing evaluation. The process fully involves the client and / or carer to ensure there is acceptance of treatment goals.

Prosper Fingal clients access the Orthotics and Footwear Clinic in Lusk Community Unit.

Physiotherapists have a collaborative arrangement with many private and non-statutory care agencies to facilitate the provision of functional activities of daily living etc
