Description
The Out-patient Department is on the ground floor, adjacent to the Emergency Department and the Radiology Department. There is a large Reception Desk where patients check in and out. AMAU/Endoscopy/Day Ward Reception is also located in OPD. The corridor leading to OPD is both visible and easily accessed from the reception desk in the Main Entrance. There are a total of 26 Clinical Rooms. A Breast Feeding Room is also part of the room complement.

- Cognitive & Movement Disorder Clinic
- Minor Ops
- Pre- Assessment; including anaesthesia pre-assessment clinic for obstetrics and anaesthesia pre-assessment clinic for day case and day of admission surgery
- A&E Review
- Phlebotomy
- Orthoptist
- Orthopaedics
- Paediatric – (including Development clinic twice monthly)
Visiting clinics include
Orthopaedics from Navan plus monthly orthopaedic injections
Dermatology from Drogheda plus monthly minor operations
Radiation Oncology from St. Luke’s Dublin
Haematology from Mater Hospital
Neurology from Mater Hospital
Community Clinics
Ophthalmology Service: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday occupy two rooms, one for Consultant Ophthalmologist and one for the Orthoptist, who carries out Visual Fields.
Opthalmology Minor Operations on a monthly basis.

Diabetes Nurse Specialist
Other Nurse Specialists attend Specialist Clinics, these include, Respiratory, Colo-rectal, Stoma Care, Renal, Palliative Care, Liaison Oncology Nurse Specialist.
The Smoking Cessation Nurse Specialist is available to all clinics.
OPD Capacity
On average 6-10 clinics/ day approx 350-400 patients. This does not include relatives/friends who accompany patients.

Location
On entering main doors, pass the Hospital Shop and take the first corridor to the right, go straight down the corridor and you will enter into the waiting area of the OPD.
