 What we do?
Physiotherapy is a health profession concerned with helping to restore well-being to people following injury, pain, or disability.

Using knowledge from our extensive scientific background of human anatomy and physiology, physiotherapists can assess, diagnose and treat conditions and illness that affect people in all age and social groups.

Physiotherapists treat a wide range of people with a variety of needs. Patients may be amputees, stroke patients, children with disabilities, pre- or post- operative patients, patients with sporting injuries or musculoskeletal injuries, people with chest problems such as chronic bronchitis or patients in the Intensive Care Unit.

Physiotherapists use mainly physical means such as therapeutic exercise, mobilisation, manual therapy and electrical modalities to help patients achieve their full potential.

How to access our service
A consultant referral is required, the physiotherapist then assesses the patient and decides on the most appropriate treatment.

Our Aim
To provide a high quality, timely service that is efficient, effective and equitable within available resources.
