NRDO Education and Awareness Programme

NRDO Education and Awareness Programme - March 2024

The NRDO Education and Awareness Programme continued in March. The National Rare Diseases Office, in collaboration with the National Centre for Inherited Metabolic Disorders (NCIMD) at the Mater University Hospital, hosted a group of 30 medical students from DIS Stockholm’s Study Abroad Programme, for an education programme of rare disease information talks and presentations.

The students had an opportunity to meet the NRDO and NCIMD teams, who delivered a programme of talks on “The work of the National Rare Diseases Office”, “Precision Medicine in a clinical service – progress and challenges”, “Building Patient Care Pathways in an era of Precision Medicine” and “Career Pathways in Precision Medicine”.

This is the second year of this collaboration between the NRDO, NCIMD and the Pillar Centre for Transformative Healthcare at the Mater Hospital and DIS Stockholm.
