Vaccinators should be familiar with the Immunisation Guidelines of the National Immunisation Advisory Committee, including the recommended Catch-up schedule NIAC - Immunisation Guidelines for Ireland (www.rcpi.ie)

Nurses and Midwives vaccinating under a medicines protocol must be familiar with the Medicine Protocols for the administration of individual vaccines and complete the Self-competency Assessment for registered nurses and registered midwives to people seeking international protection in Ireland from the war in Ukraine.

Vaccinators are advised to familiarise themselves with the local guidance for the vaccination setting, and with local arrangements for running the vaccination session or clinic.
