The HSE provides a broad range of services for older people in our community, including in-patient acute services, step down and convalescent care, day services, rehabilitation, community services, home care and home helps. If you need services for yourself or for an older person you know, contact your GP or your Public Health Nurse at your Local Health Centre.

Home Help Services

Home Helps work with vulnerable people in the community, who through illness or disability are in need of help with day to day tasks. A home help might visit for a couple of hours per day, to help with housework, shopping, or sometimes may provide more personal care like help with dressing, bathing etc. You can access this service through your Public Health Nurse.
