Following this year’s referendum and subsequent legislative change, from January 1st, 2019, people can access an abortion in Ireland under specific circumstances. Abortion services will begin to be provided by the HSE, through GPs or family planning services and in maternity units and hospitals across the country. Abortion care will be free of charge to people who need it.
We are now encouraging GPs, who have expressed an interest in providing this service, to sign and return the ‘Contractor Details and Acceptance’ form.
All signed Contractor Details and Acceptance forms should be returned:
- by email to Contract.National@hse.ie or
- by post to the HSE’s National Contracts Office, Primary Care Unit, St Loman’s Hospital Campus, Delvin Road, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath; or
- by fax to 044 9397445
If you would like to receive a copy of the form by post or email or if you have any queries please contact the HSE National Contracts Office;
Telephone: 044 93 95519 or
Once the form is received, we will send you supporting documentation to enable you to provide the service.
