Ireland is one of a number of countries that take an annual quota of refugees under arrangements agreed with the UNHCR. Many of these refugees would be residing in refugee camps often in very difficult circumstances. The HSE National Social Inclusion Office plays a key role in addressing the health aspects of refugees that are settled in Ireland as part of this programme.
