Self Assessment Process

Self assessment allows each mental health service to examine its everyday activities and assess them against the Best Practice Guidance.

Through self assessment, we aim to continuously improve mental health services, by providing a structured opportunity to assess the services we are delivering, and identify improvements.

Self assessment helps to:

  • Show teams and services what they do well and the areas they need to improve upon.
  • Examine how the services have evolved, and how they will need to evolve in the future;
  • Involve everyone in assessment process and its outcomes creating shared accountability and responsibility
