The 'Stepping In' Project

What is the purpose of this project?

To support people who are recovering from mental health difficulties to re-connect with their local community through getting involved with leisure, social and/or work opportunities. To support people to step back into community life

To work with people to identify their personal recovery goals and identify opportunities within the community to support them to fulfil their goals

Who should go to this programme?

People who are dealing with mental health difficulties who feel that they are disconnected from local community life, who want to re-engage and feel that they need some support to do so

How do I access this programme?

You need to be referred to the rehabilitation and recovery service

How long does it last/What is the time commitment?

This depends on the needs of the individual

Who runs this service?

This service is run by a partnership of Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Service and the Ballyfermot and Chapelizod Partnership.

Time/Days

The community links worker is available Mon-Fri. The time for each participant will depend on what activities a person chooses to participate.

Is there a waiting list for this Programme/ How often is it available?

The stepping in programme is available on an ongoing basis
