All HSE videos should be subtitled for accessibility.

How subtitles should look

Your text should be highly legible at all times even on a small phone screen. 

Subtitles should be centred on a black background at 85% opacity and should not exceed 2 lines.

The preferred transition effects are a straight cut in and cut out.

How to add subtitles

If the video will be hosted on YouTube, you can add subtitles through the YouTube video manager.

If it will be hosted elsewhere, such as uploading directly to Twitter or Facebook, subtitles can be added through your video editing software.
