Lynch Syndrome

 Lynch Syndrome Testing Pathways

The Lynch Syndrome Advisory Group recommended universal testing for Lynch syndrome in patients with newly diagnosed colorectal cancer, endometrial cancer or endometrioid/clear cell ovarian cancer. The aim is to improve identification and management of patients with Lynch syndrome.

These testing pathways are designed to identify patients who may have Lynch Syndrome and should be offered referral to a specialist cancer genetic service or mainstreamed testing by your own service.  See Mainstreaming Cancer Genetic Testing for resources to support a mainstreamed model.
