Tumour Conference SOP
The National Cancer Strategy 2017-2026 recommendation 13 states that all patients diagnosed with cancer will have their case formally discussed at a multidisciplinary team meeting.
To progress the implementation of this key recommendation the NCCP have developed the below guidance document to inform the development of local standard operating procedures (SOP) for multidisciplinary team meetings within the Cancer Centres.
As part of this development, it has been agreed that multidisciplinary team meetings for the purpose of diagnosis and management of patients with cancer will be known as Tumour Conferences going forward.
