About Cancer Screening

Cancer screening is provided by the National Screening Service. The National Screening Service is responsible for Government funded population based cancer screening programmes:

  • BreastCheck - free mammogram for women aged 50-69 years every two years
  • CervicalCheck - free cervical screening test for women aged 25-65 years
  • BowelScreen - free bowel screening for men and women aged 60-69 every two years
