GP Electronic Cancer Referral

awardElectronic referral for Breast, Prostate and Lung cancer is available free for GPs using the following ICGP accredited software systems:

  • Socrates
  • Complete GP
  • Helix Practice Manager
  • HealthOne

To use this system you will need to register with Healthlink through their website or by phone to 01 8825606.

The NCCP Electronic Cancer Referral Project Board hosted a workshop on “A World without Faxes: Will Healthcare come to a stop” on Wednesday 16th May 2018. A summary of the workshop is available here. 

NCCP Policy on Electronic Referrals from Primary Care for Patients with Suspected Cancer

The NCCP recommends that where NCCP Electronic Cancer GP Referral is available, faxed referrals should no longer be accepted at NCCP Cancer Clinics.  Further details are available in the policy here.
